Whether it's old books, or the goods to organize them, vintage office and library stuff has always been a favorite of mine. I recently scored big at the University of North Carolina's surplus warehouse, and found circa 1950's metal organizers; some for me, some I'm sharing, along with several vintage books and illustrations, via VintageScraps.etsy (because my mom always told me it's nice to share!)
Just like last year, my husband and I are spending a very romantic weekend with a house filled with a mess of teen aged boys! I'm not sure why I keep offering my home for this youth event that is determined to take place Valentine's Day weekend?? So in defiance to the testosterone headed here in a few hours, here's some PINK!
Valentine's Day is a perfect time for vintage and handmade little presents! Inexpensive finds or simple, pink and red works from your hands will make them feel loved. Pictured here are some found objects and ephemera creations to celebrate love and giving.
Because sometimes you get a little tired of fussy and feminine, and need a little masculine, scientific, geekery in your life! Crafted from a falling apart 1932 HS text book, you can make your own from library discards, or these are available for purchase in my shop, VintageScraps.etsy.com, link to the right :)
I'm a mom of 3 teens, wife of one husband, former teacher, retreat speaker, and youth leader, present collage artist having fun with vintage papers, antiques, mixed media, and sophisticated sarcasm!
