These pics are all from a store called South of Market, specializing in French antiques and amazingly unique accessories, located in Charleston. I'm fairly certain I went from admiration to coveting in 3 seconds flat! Enjoy the feast, and if you need more, visit www.southofmarket.biz. (Locations at Atlanta and Virginia Highland as well)
Thanks so much to the 80 people who left such nice comments here and at the Vintage Journal! The winner of the blog giveaway is Margaret Cloud, who picked this journal.
It may be my birthday today, but you get the present! Just go to my store by way of the etsy side bar on the right, pick out your favorite journal, and comment here by Tuesday Jan. 27th, and you may get chosen to recieve it for free! The winner will be chosen at random, as soon as I get back from Charleston- my husband and I are running away from home; his birthday is this week too :)
My circa 1970 ice skates- guess we're both vintage! My friend's little mom gave me "Hugs" at church, so of course they had to go on display in a glass pitcher with a Bakelite handle!
It's the first good snow we've had in a while (North Carolina) and my house has the perfect hill!
I was married in Janurary, in Illinois. It was negative 20 degrees, wind chill 80 below (I'm not kidding) and needless to say, we did not have a garden wedding! In celebration of my upcoming 24 year anniversary (I was married at age 5 of course...) here are some lovely findings, journals from my shop, wreath from HoneySuckleLane.etsy.com, vintage necklace from SSSJ.etsy.com, hair pins from anglehearts.etsy.com, and cuff from GreavesDesign.etsy.com.
I'm a mom of 3 teens, wife of one husband, former teacher, retreat speaker, and youth leader, present collage artist having fun with vintage papers, antiques, mixed media, and sophisticated sarcasm!
Check out my shop sometime-
